1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of InterviewPrep (the "Service"), operated by InterviewPrep ("InterviewPrep", "we", "our"). By accessing or using any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.

InterviewPrep provides subscription-based, AI-powered interview preparation tools, including behavioral, technical, and mock interview simulations. Our Service is available through subscription plans processed via Paddle.

2. Subscription Plans and Billing

2.1 Available Plans

• Free Plan: Limited access to 1 behavioral interview per day with basic AI feedback (GPT-4o-mini).
• Pro Plan ($19.99/month or $49.99/quarter): Unlimited behavioral and technical interviews with advanced AI feedback (GPT-4o).
• Elite Plan ($39.99/month or $99.99/quarter): Everything in Pro, plus unlimited mock interviews with comprehensive performance reports.

2.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited). We do not store your credit card information. By subscribing, you authorize Paddle to charge your payment method on a recurring basis according to your selected plan (monthly or quarterly).

2.3 Automatic Renewal

Pro and Elite subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the renewal date. You will be charged the then-current subscription rate. We will provide notice of any price changes at least 30 days in advance.

2.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting Paddle support. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods, except as required by law.

3. Refund Policy

InterviewPrep offers a 14-day refund window in compliance with Paddle Buyer Terms. You may request a refund within 14 days of your original purchase if you have not used any premium features (technical interviews, unlimited behavioral interviews, mock interviews, or AI evaluations). If any premium feature has been accessed, the subscription is considered consumed and non-refundable.

4. User Accounts and Responsibilities

4.1 Account Registration

To use our Service, you must register an account using Google OAuth or email. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
• Providing accurate and complete registration information

4.2 Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use InterviewPrep. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use InterviewPrep only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not:

• Use the Service to cheat in actual job interviews or misrepresent AI-generated content as your own work
• Share your account credentials with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models or algorithms
• Use automated scripts, bots, or tools to abuse the Service or exceed rate limits
• Upload malicious code, spam, or content that violates intellectual property rights
• Harass, threaten, or impersonate others
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

6. Intellectual Property

InterviewPrep and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by InterviewPrep and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content: You retain ownership of any input you provide (e.g., interview responses). By using the Service, you grant InterviewPrep a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely to provide and improve the Service. We do not claim ownership of your responses.

7. Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time
• Perform maintenance that temporarily limits availability
• Update features, AI models, or subscription plans with reasonable notice

We will provide advance notice of material changes that affect paid subscribers.

8. Account Termination

8.1 Termination by You

You may cancel your subscription and delete your account at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access until the end of your current billing period.

8.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you:

• Violate these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy
• Fail to pay subscription fees
• Engage in fraudulent activity or abuse the Service
• Provide false information during registration

Termination for violations does not entitle you to a refund.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INTERVIEWPREP AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Reliance on AI-generated feedback or outcomes of actual job interviews
• Errors, interruptions, or security breaches

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of AI feedback
• Fitness for a particular purpose or merchantability
• Non-infringement of third-party rights
• Guaranteed interview success or job placement

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. InterviewPrep operates this Service from the United States.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules, except where prohibited by law.

12. Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Posting the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last Updated" date
• Sending an email notification to registered users (for significant changes)
• Displaying an in-app notice

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
